Elissa Sangalli Hillary honored as 2018 GRBJ Sustainability Newsmaker

We are proud and excited to share that our very own Elissa Sangalli Hillary was honored as a Grand Rapids Business Journal Newsmaker in the sustainability category.

Local First made headlines in GRBJ over 18 times between news announcements and small business blogs. From the statewide roll out of Good for Michigan to celebrating Local First’s 15th Anniversary to kicking off our annual Fork Fest in the fall, 2018 was an exciting year for Local First, our members, and community partners.

Here’s a round-up of some of our favorite stories from 2018:

Local First producing Fork Fest (10/24/18)
nHow to build a purpose-led business (10/8/18)
nLocal First takes program statewide (10/5/18)
nTo keep growing, West Michigan must reduce barriers to opportunity (8/31/18)
nParlaying a bevy of ‘firsts’ (7/27/18)
nMinority business development receives boost (7/27/18)
n15 ways to shift your spending to local this year (1/31/18)

A big thank you to our members, community partners, community members, and the Grand Rapids Business Journal who continue to help us tell our story about our commitment to a people-first economy. It’s because of the people in our community who help Local First thrive!

The Headshot Studio Experience | Hungerford Nichols

When your company has employees, some who work in the office, some who spend time out on the road with clients and others who work in a different part of the state, employee headshots can quickly become a mishmash of photos from both professionals and amateurs.

But doesn’t it make sense that if your website and online presence is the first place people begin their research about your company, you might want to have a clear strategy for employee photos?

That’s where our Headshot Studio comes in.

We can photograph your team in no time, making it easy and simple for you to promote the most valuable asset you have in your marketing arsenal: your staff!
